Having connections with certain "big names" or "power players" is occasionally necessary to get things done the way you want, whether it be in video games, movies, television, comics, or everything in between. Or to hire the "right people" to make sure your investment succeeds the way you desire. Since Hideo Kojima's experience in the gaming business is legendary, several well-known performers and creators have shown interest in working with him throughout the years. For his numerous games throughout the years, Guillermo Del Toro, Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and a host of other amazing voice actors have stood by his side.
However, a new "player" by the name of Nicolas Cage has just joined his domain. Yes, THE Nic Cage has met with Hideo Kojima and has also toured several of Kojima's works while being photographed. To demonstrate that this did really occur, here are two examples:
It's only natural that the internet is awash in "what does this mean?" queries, and it's easy to understand why. After all, this doesn't appear to be a simple "random tour," does it? Nic Cage cannot just be hired for a tour without being utilized for something else, is that correct?
The internet seems to believe that, but who can say for sure? After making his "debut" as a survivor in Dead By Daylight, Cage made it obvious during the recent Summer Game Fest that he'd love to appear in more video games in the future. Oh, and in case you missed it, he will perform himself. Who else is he meant to be, after all?
Returning to Kojima, it's probable that many people will assume Nic will represent and voice one of the new characters in Death Stranding 2. That's not implausible to think given the A-list actors and filmmakers that worked on the original game.
There could be another solution, as others have pointed out. If you recall, Xbox and Kojima have begun working together to create a new game that differs from the first brand created by his team. Regardless of what the game is, Cage may play a significant role in it.
Or, follow our lead in this. Nic Cage just went to see Hideo Kojima because he wanted to meet him. Given Nic Cage's reputation, that is not a difficult thing to believe.
