It's incredible to think that Capcom's Dragon's Dogma was released more than 10 years ago. It might have been difficult for IP fans to imagine that a complete sequel would actually be released. However, we are now awaiting the release of Dragon's Dogma 2. The game, which Capcom is presently developing, will take place in the same universe not long after the events of the original game. As they set off on yet another epic trip, players should prepare to assume the role of an Arisen once more.

If you missed it, Capcom hosted its own presentation webcast today. The display was not very long. We did, however, get a second peek at Dragon's Dogma 2 throughout the stream. An overview of the environment and gameplay mechanics of this game was provided in a trailer. In the meanwhile, Capcom wanted to make sure that fans knew what to anticipate with regard to two things.

Dragon's Dogma 2 will initially proceed in the same manner as the first game. Another single-player RPG experience will be provided to players. However, you'll think you're playing cooperatively. Players will have the added assistance of companions in the game known as Pawns. They'll participate in battles with you and aid you in your tasks.

The fact that this game is an action RPG was another aspect the creators wanted to make sure players knew what to expect. As a result, prepare for intense fighting where you must stay alert and think quickly. However, it appears that the designers are expecting that you would use your own initiative to decide how to respond to a given circumstance.

We're intrigued to see how certain players are able to solve some problems more inventively when this game launches because there appears to be quite a deal of leeway in how you approach battles or situations.

For those who missed the Capcom Showcase, a video of the roughly 30-minute-long event is available here. It's important to note that the information on Dragon's Dogma 2 is towards the end of this presentation because that's how the showcase was concluded. We already know that PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Dragon's Dogma 2 will all be supported when the game launches.
