Overwatch 2: Invasion, which was shown during the Xbox Games Showcase, would upgrade the well-liked multiplayer shooter with PvE story missions. On August 10, which is probably the beginning of Season 6, this enormous upgrade, which also contains co-op events, training modes, and a new character, is released.
Blizzard's ambitious intentions for hero-focused tale content were recently made public, but they have since been abandoned. PvE material and objectives with an emphasis on the story will still be included in Overwatch 2, the developer promised at the time, although not in the same ambitious manner. These objectives seem to be part of the Invasion update; Blizzard advertises three cooperative tasks that are centered on the Null Sector.
The update features new co-op events as well, which are described in the Xbox Wire and are comparable to the ones that appeared during special occasions in the first Overwatch. Another update is the Hero Mastery mode, where you may play training missions tailored to particular heroes to learn more about their unique skills. There will also be a brand-new game style called Flashpoint, in which teams fight frantically to control three distinct locations on a map.
Blizzard is providing an exclusive Overwatch 2 hero pack for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers that will allow them to access the five heroes that have been added since Overwatch 2's launch as well as the brand-new hero that will be included in the Invasion update.
A new hero that will be included in the Invasion update was also briefly teased in the teaser. Little was displayed, but it's believed that the next hero is another support hero. Season 5 of Overwatch begins on June 13 and Overwatch 2: Invasion debuts on August 10.
