According to Blizzard, the famed gem issue in Diablo 4 will be resolved in Season 2, since jewels won't be kept in the inventory and won't take up as much space.
Both reviewers and players have praised Diablo 4 since its release earlier this month, and both groups appear pleased with the series' next step. Despite the fact that there seems to be nothing wrong with the game (apart of the secret cow level, which is currently missing), there are still a few things that gamers would want to have altered.
The way diamonds are handled in the inventory is one of the best instances of this. Gems were first used in Diablo 2 and may be incorporated into items and weapons to give them special effects. As a dungeon-crawler, Diablo 4 is full of riches, and that goes for the gems scattered all over the place. Since there isn't a specific gem bag for them, they, unfortunately, wind up taking up a lot of inventory space and may be a pain to gather.
Since the release of Diablo 4, users have been complaining about this issue. Many of them have urged Blizzard to provide a pouch or inventory space specifically for gems so that they won't obstruct play as much. According to Blizzard's assurance that things will change, it appears that many supporters will soon receive their wish.
Joe Shely, the game director for Diablo 4, addressed the criticism during the most recent developer livestream, which happened earlier this week, according to GamesRadar+. Shely acknowledged during the broadcast that some players weren't thrilled with how much space gems were using, but she also stated that a modification is anticipated for "around season two" that will allow gems to be stored in a separate location, freeing up some space.
Shely stated: "There are many colors of Gems, there are many qualities of Gems, and this can have the effect of taking up lots of inventory space. The idea is to change the way you acquire Gems so they are a shelve in your materials or currency tab, rather than your inventory... The way that would work is you go to craft your Gem in the same way you do today and you just use a certain amount of that material."
